With grapes from Biltmore's own vineyard, we handcraft a superb, dark cherry-colored medium-bodied Cabernet Franc with intriguing aromas of vanilla, dried herbs, raspberry, anise, and subtle earth notes. Barrel aging in American oak for 16-18 months helps develop soft, approachable tannins along with delicious flavors of strawberry, red currant, and stone fruit such as pluot and plum. Though the fruit was grown in North Carolina, this Cab Franc presents an old-world expression of the varietal with a clean, dry finish.
