Vanderbilt Reserve® Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley 2019
Flavors of plum and black cherries complement hints of olive and chocolate.
Vanderbilt Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is harvested from prized vineyards located in the northeast section of California's Sonoma County, Alexander Valley features warm days, cool nights, and alluvial soil-a wonderful combination for growing outstanding grapes. We select the finest fruit from partner vineyards in this region to handcraft our distinguished Vanderbilt Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. Barrel aged for about 15 months, it matures into a dark black cherry wine featuring an exuberant nose that includes aromas of plum, violets, and hints of spice. This is a full-bodied wine with assertive tannins and dark fruit flavors of blackberry, black currant, and dried fruit plus earthy notes of leather. Indulge in a glass with hearty offerings such as a ribeye steak, short ribs, and a classic "black and blue" cheeseburger, or lighten up with a vegetable lasagna with sundried tomatoes, aged Gouda, Camembert, and milk chocolate truffles. Perfect for special occasions like special dinners, birthdays, and anniversaries, it offers good aging potential.
