Red Wine Cranberry Sauce

Put a new spin on this Thanksgiving classic with wine and apples.

  • 2 pounds fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup red wine such as Cabernet Sauvignon
  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 2 cups Granny Smith apples

Preparation Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients except apples in a four-quart saucepot over medium heat. Simmer one hour or until thickened. Core and finely chop apples. Stir in chopped apples off heat.
