Unframed 12 x 18 The Waltz Print
A favorite of George Vanderbilt, The Waltz will be a wonderful addition to your hospitable home.

An avid art collector, George W. Vanderbilt purchased The Waltz, painted by Anders Zorn (1860-1920), in 1893 at the World?s Fair: Columbian Exposition in Chicago, where the painting was on exhibit. The original painting, which hangs in the Second Floor Living Hall in Biltmore House, captures a fleeting moment of the Gilded Age.

This study of movement illustrates an intimate moment in an otherwise bustling ball. Though the man leading the waltz was modeled by Count Louis Sparre, it was Zorn?s own face that made it onto the primary male figure. Whether it?s showcased as a cozy centerpiece for your living room or for table talk while you?re entertaining dinner guests, this unframed print, reproduced especially for Biltmore®, makes a wonderful addition to the hospitable home.
