The Chalk Hill region of California's Sonoma County boasts a warm thermal belt that allows our vineyard partners to cultivate premium grapes that ripen nearly a month earlier than fruit in cooler areas. This garnet-colored wine, aged 14-16 months in oak, features a rich nose of raspberry, baking spices, vanilla, and earthy notes of thyme. With a forward tannin structure and flavors of cranberry and black currant, this Pinot Noir may surprise you with a more medium to full-body than is normally characteristic of the varietal.
Savor its complexities with beef bourguignon, smoked salmon, Black Forest ham, mushroom risotto, and aged cheddar. As delightful as it is now with a charcuterie tray for parties and holidays, it's worth adding an extra bottle or two to your collection and allowing it to reach its excellent aging potential.
